Eyes will be on NBC as it follows sideshow between Roger Goodell Jersey, Patriots fans

Smile, Roger, you’ll be on candid camera tonight.

NBC Sports told Sporting News on Thursday evening that it will show NFL commissioner Roger Goodell during the network’s broadcast of the NFL regular-season opener between Chiefs and Patriots at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Mass.

We will show the commissioner during tonight’s coverage of the game, and cover any related news appropriately, NBC spokesman Dan Masonson said.

Goodell will have to run the gauntlet of a rabidly anti-commissioner crowd of Patriots fan still enraged over his four-game suspension of Tom Brady over Deflategate last season. For example, Barstool Sports distributed 70,000 towels showing Goodell wearing a clown nose, according to Sports Illustrated.

After Texans star J.J. Watt gave his initial 100K donation, he set his goal at $200,000. His project had raised more than $16 million as of Saturday morning and he has a new goal set for $20 million.

My first phase is what I’m doing is this weekend, my teammates and I have semi-trucks rolling in from out of town that we filled up, Watt told CNN’s AC360 with Anderson Cooper (via ESPN). We have about nine semi-trucks that are going to come to town. And we have those all filled with stocks, supplies, water, food, clothing, everything. So, we’re going to give that out this weekend.

I’m not just here for the initial fundraiser, Watt later added. I’m here to make sure that we take care of you down the road.

Limited Kids Ryan Switzer Jersey With all due respect to the Raiders with Khalil Mack and the Chiefs solid on every level, the Chargers and Broncos are set up to have the two best defenses in the AFC West. Joey Bosa and Von Miller will make sure this battle is more about them than it is about Trevor Siemian and Philip Rivers. It’s a late-night, low-scoring special that pleases the under crowd, with Denver’s home field making the slight difference. Broncos win 17-16 but fail to cover the spread.
